Vanilla (Latin name Vanilla Planifolia) is a climbing plant of the Orchidaceae family – the genus includes about 90 species – native to the tropics and is the only one used for industrial purposes – contains the larger amount of essential oil.
BASIC PROPERTIES
• ANTIOXIDANT – The antioxidant properties of vanilla neutralize free radicals and protect the body from damage and infections,
• RELAXING – It also has a relaxing and calming effect on the brain and nerves, so much so that it provides relief to stress, anger, and anxiety.

• RESPIRATORY – Soothes the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, nervous, and excretory systems. Reduces inflammation resulting from fever, convulsions, anxiety, stress, and hypersensitivity to allergens.
• DIGESTIVE – Vanilla also helps digestion, relieves stomach upsets, while its aroma has been found to facilitate weight loss.
