Facial care routine with natural cosmetics

1. Cleaning:

Cleansing the skin from any traces of make-up and dirt is the first integral step of the daily care routine, in order for our skin to stay clean and ready for its rejuvenation. First we remove the make-up and then we clean the face. Otherwise, the remnants of makeup are mixed with dust and dirt and distributed to open pores.

Clean the face with natural Myrtle soap and then rinse with plenty of water and continue with toning lotion.

Toning lotion / flower water. Apply a small amount of rose water or other flower water (jasmine, neroli, lavender, etc.) on a cotton ball and dab all over the face and neck. The lotion removes the last remnants of makeup or dirt. It also soothes and smoothes the skin, preparing it for the next steps of care.

Cleaning product. Facial cleansing is necessary because it removes sweat, sebum and oiliness, giving us a radiant and fresh skin.

2. Scrub:

Facial exfoliation is the process by which dead cells are removed from the skin. These are cleansing creams that contain granules of various types and sizes, so that they can penetrate the skin and cleanse it as best as possible. The exfoliation process is simple and quick. On a wet face, make circular motions with the product we have chosen. Continue for about 30 seconds and rinse with plenty of water. There is no right or wrong about how many times exfoliation should be done, as it depends on the product and the type of skin. However, it would be better not to do it more than 1-2 times a week. We recommend the Exfoliating & Cleansing Cream with almond and quince.

3. Facial oil:

Whatever skin type each woman has, facial oil can be part of her daily routine. It is very moisturising and the ingredients it contains are in percentages much more than in a simple cream. After the face mask and before the face and eye cream, put 4-5 drops of Rose Oil (from yeast rose petals) on the fingers and do a circular massage on the face and neck until it is absorbed by the skin.

4. Eye Cream:

The eye area is extremely sensitive, which is why you need special care with specialised products. It has a thinner texture than the face cream, while its targeted composition forms a protective film preventing the face cream from weighing down the area around the eyes. We recommend beeswax with Myrtle & Geranium!

5. Face Cream:

After the face oil, apply the 24-hour face cream with aloe and snail secretions with circular and upward movements. The cream is moisturising, anti-wrinkle, firming and contains all those ingredients that our skin needs. The cream is an essential element in maintaining a healthy skin and should be applied in the morning or evening. Ideally, in the morning we should use a day cream for fresh and radiant skin, while in the evening a more healing cream such as Myrtle with Geranium.

6. Sunscreen and hydration:

Daily sun protection is absolutely necessary, especially in sunny countries such as Greece. In the morning the sunscreen should be used in winter-summer regardless of age and skin type. Sunscreen offers enhanced broad-spectrum protection, both from UVA and from UVB rays that cause ageing. So prevention is very important and sunscreen should be an integral part of our daily care.

We recommend the moisturising day with herbal sunscreen (15SPF). It is the ideal solution for the winter months or for those who are not exposed to the sun for a long time.

Sun protection is the last step in the treatment, so as not to prevent the other compositions from penetrating the skin.
